GARBAGE CAKE
Ingredients
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- Pinch salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Plenty of fresh fruit or lg. can of fruit salad or peaches, drained
- Brown sugar
- Cinnamon
Directions
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour, baking powder and salt and beat well. Add vanilla. Grease 8" or 9" square pan and put in dough. Put fruit on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and dot with extra butter. Cook in a preheated 350-degree oven until cake tester comes out clean (at least 30 to 45 minutes). Edges will be brown and start pulling from edge of pan. Let cool and cut into squares.
